Nottingham Galleries of justice www.nccl.org.uk 
 Houses the HM Prison service collection (previously held in Rugby) It is a
National collection and contains things such as art works of prisoners;
sampler made from human hair; costumes; Oscar whilde's cell door; the last
gibbet irons; religious and doctors collection.
 
 
Material from the Probation Service.
 
They are going to send me a more detailed list in next few days.

Castle also holds the Sherwood Foresters Museum - regimental museum

Significant 400 year old Tudor building
 
Contains artefacts on Botonay, zoology including insects, bats and amphbians
geology - fossils, rocks and minerals
 
Yard gallery - collection of contemporary art
 
Industrial Museum at Wollaton Hall
 
history of industry and technology - the building is closing intermitently
over next 12 months for alterations so need to check with Wollaton Hall.

Also Angel Row gallery - collection of contemporary art.
