There are no known true images of any of the Nottinghamshire Pilgrims or Baptists. The only one of the whole group whose true image exists is Richard Bernard, who was portrayed in one of his own books. All internet searches for ‘William Brewster’ etc will show only later ‘artistic impressions.’

From the 1800s a number of dramatic paintings of the ‘Mayflower’ events began to appear, almost all in America. They include The Departure of the Pilgrim Fathers (Charles Lacy, 1847).

A stained glass window was installed at Austerfield church in 1989 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Bradford's baptism. The stained glass fills all three lights of the window and shows Bradford in front of the church, the Mayflower, and Bradford as Governor of the new Plymouth Colony.
