The Defence of Britain Database Project has recorded over 70 World War Two sites in Nottinghamshire. Sites range from large airfields at Newton, Gamston and Ossington to concrete pill boxes and a "spigot mortar emplacement" at Mapperley Plains in Nottingham.
The database of sites is now available online on the AHDS Archsearch website:
