Nottingham Industrial Museum

Featuring some of the earliest and most important machinery of its type in the country, the majority of which was built in the Nottingham area. Much of the collection was acquired from prominent lace and lace machinery manufacturers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Nottingham Trent University

The School of Art and Design holds a collection of 75,000 items of lace: fabric samples, items in manufacturers' sample books and garments. The lace archive was officially launched in February 2010.

Newstead Abbey

The collection of the former Nottingham City Costume and Textiles Museum is now housed at Newstead Abbey. The collection includes hand-made and machine-made laces, pattern books and costumes and can be seen by the public on special open days, and by researchers by appointment.
