Mr Straws House
No. 7 Blyth Road, Worksop was built in the early part of the 20th century and from 1923 was the home of the Straw family. The Straws were averse to change so after their parents’ deaths in the 1930s, brothers William and Walter allowed nothing to change in the house from then until William’s death in 1990. The National Trust now owns the house and has “made every effort to preserve the house exactly as it was found.”
