The web site of the West Bridgford and District Local History Society – www.BridgfordHistory.org – hosts a large selection of photographs, and some video, indexed on its Photo Gallery web page.

The photographs record people, buildings and events.  Floods used to be a common part of people’s lives and the picture shows the Boots sports pavilion in Lady Bay in 1932. In the same year, the Parliamentary Committee of West Bridgford Urban District Council, under the leadership of John Henry Dunford (arms folded in photograph) fought off one of the repeated attempts by Nottingham to extend its boundary to take over West Bridgford.

Other material, containing graphic records, may be accessed from the Resources web page.
